The Art Fair List 2026

Your Art Fair Guide for Collectors, Dealers & Advisors

This art fair list is your guide to the major art collecting events of 2026 — city by city, date by date. Whether you are building a collection, advising clients, or sourcing for your gallery, these are the events that matter. We have pulled together the key facts: what to expect, who will be showing, and why it deserves a place in your diary. Think of this as your briefing from a trusted insider — not a press release.

The art calendar in 2026 is rich and, in many ways, more focused than in recent years. There is a clear shift toward quality over quantity — curators and selection committees are applying stricter criteria. That is good news for serious buyers and advisors. Less noise, more signal.

London Art Fair List

Frieze London & Frieze Masters

Dates: 14–18 October 2026 | Regent's Park, London

These two fairs run side by side in Regent's Park, and together they form the centrepiece of London Art Week. Frieze London is where you come for the cutting edge — over 160 leading contemporary galleries from around the world, strong curatorial sections, and plenty of first-time solo presentations. Expect painting, sculpture, video, installation, and performance. Price points run from mid-five figures into the millions.

Across the park, Frieze Masters is a different proposition entirely. Over 120 galleries bring works spanning 7,000 years — from ancient artefacts to Old Masters, 20th-century icons, and curated historical dialogues. The Studio, Spotlight, and Reflections sections give the fair real depth and scholarly credibility. For advisors working across periods, this is essential. Works here regularly reach well into seven figures.

Both fairs attract institutional buyers, private collectors, and museum directors from 45+ countries. If you are only going to be in London once this autumn, this is the week.

LAPADA Berkeley Square Fair

Dates: 27 October – 1 November 2026 | Berkeley Square, Mayfair, London

LAPADA is one of the most civilised fairs in the London calendar — and one of the most underrated by newer collectors. Set in the open-air elegance of Berkeley Square, over 80 specialist dealers present jewellery, furniture, ceramics, silver, tapestries, and fine art spanning centuries. It is a genuine trade fair, where serious conversation and serious deals happen.

LAPADA represents over 550 professional art and antiques dealers across the UK — the largest such association in the country. The fair skews toward decorative arts and antiques, but fine art is well represented. Price points are broad: accessible at one end, museum-quality at the other. A smart stop for advisors with clients looking beyond the contemporary market.

Collect — The International Art Fair for Craft & Design

Dates: Spring 2026 (dates TBC) | Saatchi Gallery, London

Collect is the world's leading fair for contemporary craft and applied art. It is run by the Crafts Council and held at the Saatchi Gallery. Galleries present exceptional works by makers working in ceramics, glass, metal, textiles, and mixed media. The standard is museum-quality.

For collectors looking to diversify beyond painting and sculpture, Collect is consistently surprising. Prices range from a few hundred pounds into six figures. The collector base is loyal, discerning, and growing. Worth a visit if you are building a broader collection.

Paris Art Fair List

Art Basel Paris

Dates: 23–25 October 2026 | Grand Palais, Paris

Art Basel Paris is now firmly established as France's flagship contemporary art fair — and one of the most glamorous events in the global calendar. It occupies the newly renovated Grand Palais, which gives it an architectural grandeur that few fairs can match. The 2025 edition featured 203 galleries from 40 countries and territories, with 61 galleries based in France. Expect that scale again in 2026.

The programming runs from 20th-century masterpieces to solo presentations by emerging artists — painting, sculpture, photography, video, installation, and digital works. This fair plays to Paris's strengths: beauty, rigour, and an unmatched cultural context. Works extend from high five figures to multi-million-euro price points. VIP preview days (typically October 21–22) are where the real buying happens.

For dealers and advisors, the French gallery presence is a genuine draw — a third of exhibitors hold Paris spaces. There are also outdoor installations in the Tuileries, Place Vendôme, and surrounding landmarks. This is a full-week cultural event, not just a fair.

Paris Internationale

Dates: Concurrent with Paris Art Week, October 2026

Paris Internationale runs as a counterpoint to the main fairs. It is a collaborative, independently organised event featuring emerging and mid-tier galleries in non-traditional venues. The presentations are adventurous — often building-wide explorations rather than standard booth formats. Entry price points are generally lower, making it excellent for spotting emerging talent early.

If you are in Paris for Art Basel week, add a few hours here. The conversations are some of the best of the whole week — more relaxed, more honest about what is actually happening in studios right now.

Basel Art Fair List

Art Basel

Dates: 18–21 June 2026 (VIP Previews: 16–17 June) | Messe Basel, Switzerland

Art Basel in Basel is, quite simply, the most important art fair in the world. The 56th edition brings together galleries from Europe, Africa, North America, Latin America, and Asia under one roof at Messe Basel. The main Galleries sector includes the global heavyweights — Hauser & Wirth, Gagosian, David Zwirner, Pace — alongside 12 first-time participants and four galleries making direct debuts in the flagship sector, including Pippy Houldsworth from London and Jessica Silverman from San Francisco.

The Statements section presents solo projects by emerging artists, and is one of the most reliable places in the world to identify the next generation. The fair's Parcours programme extends into Basel's historic streets and public spaces, with site-specific commissions. This year, two inaugural Art Basel Awards winners — Nairy Baghramian and Ibrahim Mahama — have major outdoor commissions on the Messeplatz and Münsterplatz.

Price points at Art Basel span the full spectrum — from accessible works in the tens of thousands to trophy pieces in the tens of millions. This is where the market sets its tone for the year. If you are attending one fair in 2026, this is it.

Brussels Art Fair Lst

Art Brussels

Dates: 23–26 April 2026 (Preview/Vernissage: 23 April) | Brussels Expo, Brussels

Art Brussels is celebrating its 42nd edition this year — and it is doing so with a bold reset. The selection committee has deliberately reduced the number of participating galleries to raise overall quality. The fair now occupies a single, focused Hall 5 of Brussels Expo — the iconic Art Deco building built for the 1935 International Exposition, facing the Atomium.

A major new addition is the Horizons section, curated by Devrim Bayar of Kanal–Centre Pompidou. It features five large-scale works in an adjacent space designed for reflection and considered looking. Art Brussels has always had a curatorial seriousness that sets it apart from many of its European peers. This edition leans into that identity further.

The fair is particularly strong for contemporary European art — mid-career artists, gallery representations from Belgium, France, Germany, and the Netherlands. Price points range from accessible (€5,000–€50,000) to significant six-figure works. For advisors and collectors focused on the European contemporary scene, Art Brussels is consistently one of the most rewarding weekends of the year.

Dubai Art Fair List

Art Dubai

Dates: 17–19 April 2026 (VIP Previews: 15–16 April) | Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai

Art Dubai is the Middle East's flagship art fair — and the 2026 edition is its 20th anniversary. That milestone brings added energy and ambition. Over 100 galleries from more than 35 countries present across four curated sections: Contemporary, Modern, Bawwaba (for galleries from the Global South), and Digital. There are 36 first-time exhibitors this year, which suggests fresh discovery opportunities for active collectors.

The fair's geographic focus is one of its defining strengths. The MENA region, South Asia, Africa, and Latin America are all strongly represented — making Art Dubai genuinely distinct from its Western counterparts. For advisors building diversified international collections, this is one of the few fairs where you can find truly underexplored markets in a rigorous, institutional context.

Price points range from mid-five figures to well into the hundreds of thousands. Blue-chip works appear, but the real value for forward-thinking collectors is in identifying talent from regions that are only now receiving serious global attention. The Bawwaba section is particularly worth your time.

Art Dubai sits within Dubai Art Season, which runs 21 January–26 April 2026, under the patronage of Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The cultural infrastructure around the fair is growing fast.

World Art Dubai

Dates: 22–26 April 2026 | Dubai World Trade Centre

World Art Dubai is a different beast — it is the region's largest accessible art marketplace, with over 400 exhibitors from more than 65 countries presenting up to 10,000 works. Price points run from USD 100 to USD 20,000, which makes it the most democratic fair in the Dubai calendar.

This is not a fair for trophy buying. But it is excellent for scouting emerging talent from a truly global range of cultures — painting, sculpture, photography, and digital media all feature. For dealers and advisors looking to understand where new collector markets are developing, World Art Dubai offers rare insight at accessible prices.

Hong Kong Art Fair List

Art Basel Hong Kong

Dates: 27–29 March 2026 (VIP Previews: 25–26 March) | Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre, Wan Chai

Art Basel Hong Kong is the most important art fair in Asia — full stop. The 13th edition brings together 240 galleries, the same as last year, maintaining the fair's carefully calibrated scale. The gallery list spans the full breadth of the global market, but the Asia and Asia-Pacific dimension is what makes this fair irreplaceable.

The fair is structured across several sectors. Galleries is the main sector, presenting established international names alongside leading Asian galleries. Discoveries focuses on emerging artists and galleries — always worth a close look. Insights features 20 curated projects by artists from Asia and the Asia-Pacific region. And new in 2026 is Echoes, a sector spotlighting works created within the past five years in presentations featuring up to three artists. It is a smart format for tracing emerging dialogue across practices.

First-time exhibitors this year include 32 galleries from Australia, Japan, South Korea, Greater China, Turkey, France, Georgia, Germany, and the Netherlands. Notable presentations include Double Q Gallery (Hong Kong) bringing Polish artist Natalia Załuska, and Madrid's Max Estrella presenting Vietnamese-American artist Tiffany Chung. Price points range from mid-five figures to multi-million-dollar works. VIP preview days on 25 and 26 March are invitation-only — secure access through your gallery relationships or advisors well in advance.

New York Art Fair List

TEFAF New York

Dates: 15–19 May 2026 | Park Avenue Armory, New York

TEFAF New York brings the grandeur and rigour of its famous Maastricht fair to one of Manhattan's most extraordinary venues — the Park Avenue Armory, a Gilded Age landmark occupying an entire city block. It is the only art fair in New York to activate all 16 of the Armory's historic period rooms, designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany, Stanford White, and the Herter Brothers. The venue alone justifies the visit.

Expect top-tier dealers presenting Old Masters, modern and contemporary works, antiques, sculpture, jewellery, and photography — all to the exacting vetting standards TEFAF is known for. Every work on show has been authenticated and independently verified. For serious collectors and advisors, that level of confidence is rare. Price points are firmly at the upper end of the market.

Frieze New York

Dates: 13–17 May 2026 | The Shed, Hudson Yards, New York

Frieze New York is the city's premier spring contemporary art fair. Held at The Shed — one of New York's most architecturally ambitious venues — the fair is compact, focused, and curated with exceptional rigour. Do not expect volume; expect concentrated quality. Leading international galleries bring their best contemporary work, and the collector base is among the most serious in the world.

The fair complements rather than competes with The Armory Show, which anchors the autumn season. Together, they give New York two distinct windows on the international contemporary market. Price points run from mid-five figures to seven figures. The Focus section, dedicated to emerging galleries, is consistently one of the best places in New York to find new talent.

The Armory Show

Dates: 24–27 September 2026 | Javits Center, Manhattan, New York

The Armory Show is New York's flagship autumn contemporary art fair — and the 32nd edition promises to maintain its position as the centrepiece of Armory Art Week. Over 230 international and domestic galleries will exhibit, and the 2025 edition welcomed approximately 50,000 visitors. The collector base includes 9,000+ VIPs, ultra-high-net-worth individuals, and institutional curators from over 35 countries.

The fair coincides with New York Fashion Week and a packed schedule of museum partnerships — The Met, the Guggenheim, and the Brooklyn Museum all programme around it. For dealers and advisors, The Armory Show is a key client touchpoint: the social energy is high, the conversations are productive, and the breadth of galleries on show is genuinely comprehensive. Price points span the full market — from accessible contemporary works to major acquisitions.

Miami Art Fair List

Art Basel Miami Beach

Dates: 4–6 December 2026 (VIP Previews: 2–3 December) | Miami Beach Convention Center

Art Basel Miami Beach is the undisputed anchor of Miami Art Week — and one of the most anticipated events in the global art calendar. The fair runs 4–6 December at the Miami Beach Convention Center, but the real week stretches from approximately 1–7 December, with satellite fairs, gallery openings, brand activations, private dinners, and collector events filling every corner of the city.

The fair brings together leading international galleries presenting the full range of modern and contemporary art — painting, sculpture, photography, installation, digital, and film. VIP preview days on 2 and 3 December are invitation-only and essential if you are looking to acquire significant works — the best pieces sell in the opening hours. If you are going to Miami for serious buying or advising, you need VIP access, and that means making gallery relationships count well in advance.

Miami Art Week as a whole is unlike any other art fair week in the world. It is part art market, part cultural festival, part collector social season. The satellite fairs — including NADA, Untitled, and Design Miami — add genuine breadth to the programme. Price points at Art Basel Miami Beach span the full spectrum, from accessible acquisitions in the tens of thousands to multi-million-dollar trophy works.

Los Angeles Art Fair List

Frieze Los Angeles

Dates: 26 February – 1 March 2026 | Santa Monica Airport, Los Angeles

Frieze Los Angeles is the seventh edition of what has quickly become one of the most significant art fairs in the United States. Held at the open-air Santa Monica Airport — a unique setting that perfectly suits LA's relaxed energy — the fair brings together 95 galleries representing 22 countries. The full roster of international galleries is here: Gagosian, Gladstone, Hauser & Wirth, Lisson, Pace, Perrotin, Almine Rech, Thaddaeus Ropac, White Cube, and David Zwirner. Local LA galleries are equally well represented.

The fair's Focus section, curated this year by Essence Harden, gives emerging galleries (operating for twelve years or fewer) a dedicated platform. Participants include Bel Ami, Company Gallery, Dreamsong, Lyles & King, and Hannah Traore Gallery — all names worth tracking. LA Art Week builds around the fair with studio visits, institutional events, and gallery openings across the city.

For collectors and advisors interested in West Coast and Pacific-facing art — particularly work from LA-based artists and galleries with strong ties to Asian markets — Frieze LA offers something distinctive. The atmosphere is more open and exploratory than the major European fairs. Price points range from accessible contemporary works to significant acquisitions in the seven-figure range.

Maastricht Art Fair List(Essential Bonus)

TEFAF Maastricht

Dates: 14–19 March 2026 (Invitation-only Preview Days: 12–13 March) | MECC, Maastricht, The Netherlands

TEFAF Maastricht is the world's most prestigious fine art, antiques, and design fair — and no serious collector or advisor should overlook it. Over 260 dealers from 20 countries bring 7,000 years of art history under one roof. This is the fair where museum-calibre works change hands: Old Master paintings, classical antiquities, ancient art, jewellery, 20th-century design, and modern and contemporary art all sit side by side. Every work on show passes TEFAF's rigorous vetting process.

The 2026 edition features a curated Focus section spanning masterpieces of Abstract Expressionism, Scandinavian and De Stijl design, French Realist painting, African Modernist ceramics, and American photography. That breadth is what makes TEFAF extraordinary — and consistently surprising, even for experienced advisors.

Price points are firmly at the upper end of the market. But the range of disciplines — from ancient artefacts to contemporary art — makes TEFAF relevant to collectors at many stages of building a collection. If you value quality, provenance, and rigour above all else, this fair belongs at the top of your 2026 list.

A Final Word

The art fair world in 2026 is leaner and more focused than it has been in a decade. Organisers are applying stricter selection criteria. Collectors are more discerning about where they spend their time. And dealers are being more selective about where they exhibit. All of that is good news for the quality of what you will find on the stands.

Plan ahead. Secure VIP access through your gallery relationships or art advisors early — ideally three to six months before each fair. The best works at the best fairs still sell in the first hours of the first day. That has not changed.
